Dairy-free Matcha Chai Latte


  • 300ml boiled water
  • 2 tsp chai green tea
    (Solaris brand)
  • 300ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp organic vanilla extract
  • 1tsp matcha green tea vanilla powder (Solaris brand)
  • sweetener of choice
    (we used brown rice syrup)

Another recipe to have you zipping throught the winter cold or even better sitting in front of a blazing hot fire reading your favourite novel.

Pour the water into a cup with the chai green tea. Put a plate (or some parchment paper) on top for 15 minutes. This just allows the flavours to infuse into the water. 

In a saucepan add the tea-infused water along with the almond milk, cinnamon and vanillia extract. Bring to the boil, remove from the heat. Stir in the matcha greeen tea and vanilla. Leave to cool then refrigerate for 3 hours (not necessary but just allows the flavours to infuse for longer).

Reheat to just below boiling. Check taste and add sweetener according to how you like it, one teaspoon at a time. 



This is a warming recipe that suits both Carnis and Herbis.
