Up to last week I'd never tasted wild garlic. As a child I remember traipsing around back roads between Waterford city and the seaside village of Tramore searching for gooseberries, blackberries and all those wonders. I wouldn't count it as one of my favourite pastimes but the sweet smell of blackberry pies or gooseberry fool were the rare delights of my childhood that I do miss from those excursions.
This is third of 3 blog posts I wrote for Goodalls Ireland in February 2013. It focuses on tips for those starting out on a gluten-free diet and suffering from coeliac disease. Coeliac disease differs from food intolerances and allergies as it is an autoimmune disease. The tips below I found useful when learning to overcome the effects of food intolerances and being gluten sensitive.
