Though well intentioned, New Years Resolutions can be, a recipe for disaster.  Getting caught up in the hype and pomp of saying goodbye to the old, we tend to see the New Year as a chance to make a fresh start.  Hence, we tend to make such resolutions over ambitious.

When, in the weeks and months that follow, we slip back to our old ways, our self-esteem can take a plunge with it.

Our resident Carni here (aka Tony) should probably do up this post. He's had one of those to dinner most days for the last few years. I'll have himself read it through before I publish so it's Tony Approved. What would you do if one of your guests for your beloved Christmas Festive Feast informs you that they can't have grandma's egg nog, your infamous Irish coffee, truffles, chocolates.
